    Open a BBVA Demand Account, with an account maintenance fee of €8/month, and enjoy the following advantages:

    • Minimum opening amount of €500
    • Free SEPA+ credit transfers made through the BBVA Mobile app or on BBVA.
    • Free access to digital channels:  BBVA Mobile app and BBVA.pt homebanking.

    BBVA Maisblue Account

    If you are between 18 and 29 years of age, this is the account for you:

    • Minimum opening amount of €50
    • €8/month account maintenance fee (plus stamp duty)
    • No fees for SEPA + transfers made on BBVA.pt or on the BBVA Mobile app
    • If you already work, you can choose direct deposit of your salary over €500 and get access to an authorized overdraft limit on your account (12.4% APR)

  • BBVA blue Account

    The ideal account to start planning your future if you are young:

    • Minimum opening amount of €50
    • No account maintenance fees
    • At 11 they will be issued a BBVA Antes Blue pre-paid card and at 16 a BBVA Agora Blue debit card

    Minimum Bank Services Account

    The BBVA Serviços Mínimos Bancários Account is a demand deposit account that provides you with a set of minimum banking services and a debit card at an annual cost of 1% of the value of the social support index.

  • BBVA Base Account

    Access BBVA products and services, as well as a select package of benefits. For an account maintenance fee of €8.75/month, enjoy:

    • Free interbank credit transfers
    • Cash withdrawals from any ATM and 3 free cash withdrawals over the counter per month (with teller receipt), at any BBVA branch
    • Access to our digital channels, BBVA Mobile app and BBVA.pt
    • The minimum opening amount of this account is €500.00

  • Account switching service

    Ask BBVA, on an individual basis and in writing, which tasks you wish to fall under the service.

Account closure

To request account closure, you must complete the account closure form.

If you have credit agreements associated with your checking account and wish to have your installments debited at another credit institution (OIC) and/or wish to have the amount owed associated with your card(s) paid at an OIC, you must complete the documents below relating to the Account Debit Authorization (ADC):

These documents must be duly signed by all account holders and completed with the authorization of the procedures to be carried out by the Bank for each of the credit products.

The account closure form should be sent to the email address encerramentoconta.pt@bbva.com. Alternatively, it can be sent via registered mail to BBVA, SA – Branch in Portugal, Attention: Operational Control, located at Av. da Liberdade 222, 4th Floor, 1250-148 Lisbon or delivered in person to a BBVA branch.
