BBVA Base Account
With a minimum opening amount of €500.00 and an annual maintenance fee of €105.00, paid in monthly installments of €8.75 (plus tamp duty) you'll get:
- Interbank credit transfers at no additional cost.
- Issuance of a free BBVA Agora debit Card for one of the account holders. Any other holders will be charged the Fees and Expenses in force in the Bank's Price List.
- Cash withdrawals from any ATM and 3 free cash withdrawals over the counter per month (with teller receipt), at any BBVA Branch.
- Free access to our digital channels, the BBVA Mobile app and BBVA.pt home banking, allowing you to make transactions wherever you may be.

Account closure
To request account closure, you must complete the account closure form.
If you have credit agreements associated with your checking account and wish to have your installments debited at another credit institution (OIC) and/or wish to have the amount owed associated with your card(s) paid at an OIC, you must complete the documents below relating to the Account Debit Authorization (ADC):
These documents must be duly signed by all account holders and completed with the authorization of the procedures to be carried out by the Bank for each of the credit products.
The account closure form should be sent to the email address encerramentoconta.pt@bbva.com. Alternatively, it can be sent via registered mail to BBVA, SA – Branch in Portugal, Attention: Operational Control, located at Av. da Liberdade 222, 4th Floor, 1250-148 Lisbon or delivered in person to a BBVA branch.
